SQL 2005 DBA for Long Beach!
This position is responsible for the operation, maintenance and management of an enterprise wide collection of SQL Server 2005 databases for growing Technology firm specializing in ecommerce billing and reporting solutions. The environment is 100% SQL 2005 and heavily transactional with millions of records. All candidates for this position must have an excellent oral and written command of the English language, and be able to work well with others.
Requirements:
4+ years experience working as a SQL Server DBA and strength specifically with SQL Server 2005.
Strong all around SQL skills including:
Mirroring and SSRS for SQL 2005
Design and development of databases, tables, relationships, and indices
Maintenance of databases, including security patches and DB updates
Creation, use and management of stored procedures
Capacity and disaster planning, optimization and performance tuning
SQL statements, queries and interfaces to the internet
Any experience with C#, ASP.NET, or other web technologies is a nice plus
Degree in Computer Sciences is strongly preferred.
