SQL Applications Programmer

Sigma has an immediate opening for an experienced SQL Applications Programmer in our fast-paced, dynamic Detroit, MI office.  We offer excellent benefits, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, short and long term disability, paid holidays and PTO.

 

Responsibilities:

ü  Responsible for SQL applications programming.

ü  Create and manage views, notes and reports.

ü  Interact with management to obtain a strong understanding of how each source system works and any requirements.

ü  Database security.

ü  Project management.

ü  Provide technical consultation to client.

ü  Perform other duties as required.

 

Qualifications:

ü  Two years plus experience in SQL development, maintenance, and support for Client/Server applications using SQL Server 2000/7.0/6.0, Oracle 8i/9i/10g scripting.

ü  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science preferred. 

ü  Excellent team player with strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills.

ü  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong understanding of project management.

ü  A team player with a strong work ethic who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with all levels of internal staff, clients and outside consultants.

ü  Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills and editing skills with a fine eye for detail.
