SQL DEVELOPER/DBA

Education: 4 year college degree in Information Technology.Experience:   3-5 years programming, 2-3 years SQL databaseEnvironment:  Candidate must have programming, database and general technical administrative experience. Needs to work independently; tasks are mainly short duration (couple of days).  Must have excellent client interface skills and will from time to time work with vendors and partners. Must learn quickly and look to continually improve upon existing processes.  Must perform technical administrative functions, monitor processes and be available nights and weekend to provide support to critical processes which are his/her responsibility.  Responsibilities: I. SQL ServerA. DBA  1.  Schedule and maintain backups  2.  Setup and monitor Log Shipping between SQL servers  3.  Keep the server up-to-date on latest service packs and hotfixes  4.  Assist with the installation of any software that creates new databases on the SQL Server  5.  Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any performance issues  6.  Administer the SQL Servers  B. Developer  1.  Develop DTS packages, views and SQL Server Jobs to query databases  2.  Create production and ad-hoc reports using Access, Crystal Reports, or Coldfusion, ASP, .NET, and Dreamweaver or Visual Studio.  3.  Migrate existing MS Access reporting system to Business Objects X. II.  FTP ServerA. Administer FTP servicesB. Maintain INFO. on the FTP ServerC.  Monitor and troubleshoot any problems with photo and data processing applications on the FTP server  III.  Metaframe FarmA. Administer Metaframe FarmB. Install and maintain applications as needed IV.  Intranet Server (most of this will be going away with rollup of inside into toolkit, but maintenance of  the web and database servers would now apply)A. Administer Intranet Servers (production and development) and servicesB. Install and maintain ColdFusion serverC.  Install and maintain Citrix mSAM servicesD.  Develop Intranet applications (including BlackBerry apps), using ColdFusion, ASP, Crystal Reports and database tools. V.  ApplicationsA. Profit Power  1.  Provide technical support for Profit Power application  2.  Provide assistance to Profit Power homeowner for procedural and data entry issues  3.  Troubleshoot and fix any SQL Server or Metaframe farm related issues  4.  Create Corporate, Branch and Ad-Hoc level reports as neededB. Great Plains Dynamics  1.  Provide assistance with reporting  2.  Maintain databasesC.  Escrow  1.  Provide technical support for application  2.  Troubleshoot and repair any VBA issuesD.  TrackIt  1.  Ensure maintenance and performance of back-end database and assist in creating reportsE.
