DESCRIPTION: Provide MS SQL Server database administration, maintenance, installations, upgrades, security, performance tuning, trouble-shooting, documentation and connectivity support for large database enterprise in a Windows environment for technology company. Manage database redundancy implementations of database snapshots, advanced replication and standby scenarios. Support projects associated with new installs, database upgrades, redundancy planning and auditing. Participate in technology transfer to clients and other consultants. Company provides and encourages ongoing company paid technical training, certification programs and development to ensure professional skill growth.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Support SQL Server technology, software, installations, upgrades, patches, security and database file layouts, creations, changes and database modifications.

· Provide database administration including daily event and error monitoring, proactive and scheduled maintenance, security, backups, recoveries, database replication, refreshes, reorganizations and trouble-shooting. Database instance, database structure and SQL performance tuning.

· Client/server and database connectivity support - Implement and manage SQL Server connectivity.

· SQL Server delivered package support and development to support DBA activities.

· Provide auditing of security implementation access and violations against database environments

· High-end redundancy solutions - install and manage snapshots, replication, stand-by database, log mining and log-shipping.

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:.

· BS Degree or Microsoft SQL Server certification.

· 4 to 5 years SQL SERVER experience

· Experience with replication and redundant servers a big plus

· US Citizen or Green Card or US work authorization ( sorry no H1 Sponsorships)

· Desire to work in a direct full-time position (sorry this is not a contract position )
