SQL Server DBA - Contract

This is a great 10 month contract opportunity for a SQL Server DBA. Our client is a Top Fortune company in East Providence, RI. Provide Database Administration for SQL2000 & SQL2005.  Tasks include: Applying database security. SQL Scripting. Database performance tuning. Database monitoring, on call support, and job scheduling. SQL installs, release upgrades and patch management. Participate in the planning and testing of disaster recovery. Create and maintain database jobs such as DTS, SQL Backup and Restore. Drive support issues with both application vendors and Microsoft Project based work for new technologies and existing technology refresh  Skills, Education, Qualifications:Minimum 3 - 5 years experience Experience with SQL 2000 & 2005SQL Scripting. Database security.Disaster recovery (Planning & Testing)DTS, SQL Backup and RestoreAbility to write clear documentation of operating procedures, and ability to write specifications for applications to be developed. Exceptional communication, problem solving, and teamwork skills. Extremely detail-oriented and able to follow clear methodologies for troubleshooting and development.
