SR QA Application Analyst

Comsys is hiring a SR QA Application Analyst for a 6 month contract in Bloomington, MN location.6 years Testing experience:Mercury Loadrunner tool experience: Java Applications testing.Knowledge of the supporting platforms for Mercury Quality Center like Web sphere, JBOSS and Oracle is highly desired.-Extensive experience in the Design and Development of 'Automated Testing' of various client-server, web applications, web services using Mercury tools: Quick Test Professional (QTP), Win Runner,-Quality Center and Parasoft tools: SOATestJob Description:-Maintains overall knowledge and understanding of the Application Architecture.-Provides Application Subject Matter Expertise to QA team.-Provides first line communication to development leads for application specific issues.-Provides assistance to QA test team members with issues needing application expertise or complex systems and/or database knowledge.-Designs and educates/mentors team on complex or non-routine SQL queries.-Participates in problem resolution or root cause analysis for specific application.-Interacts with project management and development leads for design input.-Interacts with QA environment team and participates in the evaluation of best practices for QA Environment Stability. Assists with work plan development for the team.-Responsible for providing QA team with technical solutions.-Monitors opportunities for Process Improvements and drive efforts to improve efficiency.-Devises improvements to current procedures and develops models of possible future configurations.-Performs complex system and internal workflow analysis and recommends quality improvements. Documents and works to resolve all complex problems.QualificationsCollege degree in Information Systems or equivalent work experience6+ years experience in all aspects of QA TestingExpertise in using QA Testing Tools such as Loadrunner, WinRunner, QTPExpertise in working with Relational Databases.Expertise in Data Retrieval from Databases that may require constructing Complex SQL.3-5 years experience with programming, system design preferredThorough understanding of Software Development MethodologyDemonstrated strong technical skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical skills.
