SYSTEMS ENGINEER

SYSTEMS ENGINEER Develops and engineers complex solutions in support of application needs and data center requirements.  Provides configuration and design of data center infrastructure including servers and storage. Conducts hardware/software installation and support. Works closely with project teams and Senior Systems engineer in designing and implementing solutions.     - Design and implementation of infrastructure solutions centered around the data center. - Technical infrastructure lead on projects, with overall responsibility for the systems design. - Research and recommend new technologies in alignment with business goals and objectives. - Provide 3rd level support for server and storage platforms. RESPONSIBILITIES

- 3 - 5 years related experience. - Experience in IT working across multiple platforms or technologies including Unix, Linux and Windows. - Familiarity with the interoperability of Infrastructure and Application technologies. - Server platforms IBM, HP or SUN (certification a plus). - Storage platforms - Sun. - Strong working knowledge of virtualization technologies and strategies. - Strong decision making, problem solving, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills. - Strong documentation skills. - Ability to absorb and retain information quickly. - Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language. - Highly self motivated and directed. - Keen attention to detail. - Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. - Exceptional customer service orientation. - Interface with IT and Support System issues. - Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. - BS/BA degree or equivalent.   EOE/AA/MFDV
