Responsible for the engineering, installation, configuration, and maintenance of Active Directory, Windows, VMware, Citrix systems.  Administers Active Directory, Windows, VMware, Citrix systems software and hardware.  Helps manage operating system and data backups.  Provides technical support on Active Directory, Windows, VMware, Citrix systems related issues.  Troubleshoots complex Active Directory and Windows systems problems.  May perform script writing to automate administrative tasks.  Operates under moderate supervision.  Reports to the team lead of Systems.  Possess minimum 7 years experience in Active Directory, Windows, VMware, Citrix administration or engineering. Duties & Responsibilities 1. Responsible for the engineering, installation, configuration, administration and maintenance of Active Directory, Windows, VMware, Citrix Systems.  Evaluates, installs and tests Windows/VMware/Citrix systems hardware and software.  Integrates Windows/VMware/Citrix and related systems.  Maintains data, software, and hardware security and emergency procedures.  Helps manage necessary system backups.  Maintains contact with end users to maximize systems utilization. - 50% 2. May assist department manager in on-going assessment and upgrading of Windows/VMware/Citrix systems. - 20% 3. Serves as troubleshooter on complex Active Directory, Windows, VMware, Citrix systems problems. - 20% 4. Serves as a contact for vendors of equipment and services. - 10% 5. Performs other related duties as assigned. Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.  Possess minimum 7 years experience in Active Directory design and administration, MCSE preferred. Specialized Knowledge and Skills Expert knowledge of Windows 2003 Server, Active Directory. General knowledge of VMware/Citrix systems.  May also have knowledge of script languages and be responsible for scripting writing. Knowledge of network protocols and standards such as TCP/IP and DNS. Good mathematical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Equipment and Applications Servers, blades, disk, tape drives and various software applications.
