Sales & Marketing Support Professional

Responsibilities include the following:

 

Support the Hardware, Maintenance Contract and Consumable Sales Cycle

·        Create proposals based on specifications and assumptions either provided by the Sales/Technical Team or the prospect. 

o       Register potential deals with the hardware and software providers. 

o       Utilize the Hardware Reseller Database/Software to help manage all hardware, maintenance and consumable sales opportunities.   

o       Interact with Marketing and the Executive Vice President of Finance and Administration for pricing decisions.

o       Control the archiving and retrieval of all proposals.  

·        Utilize and improve upon the standardize MS Word proposal format and utilize MS Excel to process all quantity and pricing variables.  

·        Identify marketing ideas/concepts that will improve the sales outlook for this business segment (i.e., email blasts, direct mail & outbound calls)

 

Coordinate the Sales Activity for the Companies Business Partners

·        Receive all inbound inquiries from business partners for possibly sales opportunities

·        Interact with the V.P. of Sales to determine which of the Company’s Staff should participate in the prospect meeting/conference call

·        Follow-up on all of these sales opportunities to help insure the Company professionally manages and supports their business partners.

·        Track on a weekly basis the activity from these business partners to allow both the Sales and Executive Team to evaluate the benefit (and potentially improve upon the results) of these programs.

 

Professional & Thorough Proposal Follow-up for all of the Companies Services:

·        Update ACT 2005 databases or similar CRM Packages (i.e., MS CRM, Goldmine, SalesForce.com) for all outstanding sales proposals.

·        Weekly tracking and communication of all outstanding proposals in ACT 2005

o       Weekly Reporting to the sales team status of all outstanding proposals during the Sales Meetings.  Track wins & losses (and why).

o       Direct and follow-up w/the Sales and Technical Team to insure all sales opportunities are properly and timely addressed.

·        Schedule Follow-up Meetings for the Sales Team in order to help “win”/”close” a high percentage of sales opportunities.

 General Marketing Activities

·        Assist in Trade Show Planning and prospect follow-up activities

·        Assist in marketing communications – ability to create marketing communication a real plus!

·        Assist in managing the web site content

·        Champion / initiate concepts for email communication to the customer base

·        Support the Sales Organization in preparing sales proposals/presentations Support the Vice President of Sales Calendar/Meeting Schedule

·        Schedule appointments with prospects, partners and existing clients 

o       The objective is to keep the Sales Team actively scheduled on new and existing client calls such that it allows them to achieve their sales targets.

·        Assist in the organization/preparation of materials required for the client/prospect appointment (including directions).  Arrange travel plans when needed.

·        When needed screen meetings, appointments, phone calls, and emails

·        Work accurately and quickly using knowledge of the business, products, processes and available software systems.

·        Excellent organizational and time management skills!

 

General Job Requirements:

·        Strong interpersonal and communication skills

·        Minimum of 4 years of recent professional sales support experience

·        Very Strong Software Skills – strong desire to use technology to solve problems

o       MS Office

§         Strong to Excellent MS Word and Excel Skills

§         Strong knowledge of MS Outlook to schedule appointments, organize tasks and work-flow

§         Solid PowerPoint Presentation Skills

·        Active user of the ACT 2005 Database and Industry experience (a plus)

·        Educational Requirements

o       H.S Diploma a must

o       Associate or Bachelor Degree Preferred

o       Software training classes a plus
