Security Analyst

TKC Communications is seeking a Security Analyst for an Agency located in Herndon, VA.

Job Summary:

This role is a security analyst role with experience in IT Security and knowledge of the C&A process.‎
.
• Ability to adhere to a Quality Control Plan, which includes standardized operations procedures and a self-inspection plan.
• Ability to work in a team environment to produce a set of Security Test & Evaluation Plans and Reports. Must be able to determine the extent to which security controls in the information system are implemented correctly, operating as intended, and producing the desired outcome with respect to meeting the security requirements for the system.
• Knowledge of the C&A process.
• Some knowledge of agency guidelines and regulations to include but not be limited to agency regulations 800-37, 800-53 and 800-53A.
• Ability to work in a team environment to conduct and document risk assessments.
• Ability to work in a team environment to develop an IT System Contingency Plan compliant with Department guidance and agency Special Publications 800-34.
• Ability to work in a team environment to develop a System Security Plan.
• Ability to work in a team environment to conduct a self assessment and perform security control testing.
• Ability to work in a team environment to update system POA&Ms, SSP, and Risk Assessment Reports, as required.
• Ability to gather measurements and metrics as defined by all aspects of the C&A activities, self assessments, and security control testing.

• MUST BE A US CITIZEN
• College Degree Preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Strong skills in MS Word and MS Excel.
