Security Analyst II - Provisioning KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position manages and provisions customer Firewall, Intrusion Detection Devices, Host Log Devices, and Wireless IPS Devices associated with VeriSign's Managed Security Services. Incumbents demonstrate strong technical analytical skills while providing accurate installation and service turn up. They have a systems administration and security background and are responsible for performing installs and configurations on supported platforms. This individual is customer focused and works to resolve customer's service installation needs in a timely manner. These needs may involve resolving hardware/software failures, coordination with Project Managers and Solution Designers to ensure proper device installation. * Provide technical installation and support for VeriSign's Managed Security Services on a Monday – Friday shift in the SOC. This involves working closely with Project Managers, Solution Design and customers to ensure proper build provisioning and installations with customers based on a tightly scheduled process. * Professionally and courteously coordinate telephone conference bridges for service installation and fill out necessary checklist paperwork, generate and respond to CRM tickets for all work and informational requests, and escalate according to established procedures. * Demonstrate excellent communication and customer care skills by documenting all activities within our customer delivery systems and communicating with customer representatives in a timely manner. * Regularly provide high level, proactive technical support including device upgrades, and hot sparing. * Ensure that we are implementing best practice security policies that address the customer's business need while protecting their vital corporate assets KEY REQUIREMENTS: * 2-4 years functional experience * Thorough understanding of the OSI model and general networking.* Knowledge and experience with PC's, LAN topologies, routers, switches, hubs and terminal servers. * Familiarity with one or more IDS/IPS and Host Log Monitoring technologies including Snort, Log Logic, Real Secure and Proventia.* Familiarity with one or more Firewall technologies such as CheckPoint, Cisco Pix, and Netscreen.* Familiarity of Unix/Linux and Windows Operating Systems * Ability to read and interpret network diagrams * Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. * Excellent written, verbal communication and organizational skills * Knowledge of trouble ticketing systems/CRM * Ability to Multi Task multiple projects simultaneously* Strong interpersonal and customer service skills * Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
