Security Specialist

Fusion is seeking a Security Specialist.

Ideal candidate will have a good balance of strong technical and business skills and a proven history of successfully planning and implementing large, complex IS projects. Candidates should also show demonstrated ability to lead, with long-term planning and analysis of IS solutions that support critical business processes.

 Core Job Responsibilities:



* Developing and conducting security training

* Leading the development of security administration procedures and coordinating the process.

* Developing and operating the security event monitoring process.

* Monitoring the enterprise for security policy compliance.

* Developing the process and leading security incident handling.

* Working with other parts of the organization to gather security requirements for incorporation into the security architecture.





Qualifications





* Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.

* Prefer Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) designation or willing to obtain in 2-3 years.

* Prefer Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Silver level designation or willing to obtain in 2-3 years.

* 4+ years experience developing applications on UNIX and Microsoft Windows platforms.

* 2+years experience performing security administration, security event monitoring, and handling security incidents with a focus on the platforms and technologies listed above.

* 2+years experience developing and conducting security training related to the areas listed above.

* A working knowledge of how to securely implement and configure UNIX, Windows, and network technologies Demonstrated experience in practical decision-making based on best practice risk analysis methodologies.

* Strong verbal and written communication skills. 

* Demonstrated ability to articulate ideas and solutions to influence others toward a desired outcome or solution.

* Initiative to make decisions independently as well as in conjunction with other team members.
