Senior Agile Coach

Valtech is looking for experienced senior Agile Coaches to play a role in the strategic rollout of Valtech's Agile Transformation Services here in North America.

The ideal candidate would possess proven skills in leading multiple Agile teams through an entire project delivery.  The person would understand and have experience addressing typical organizational roadblocks to Agile adoption.  This person should be fluent in backlog management and Agile estimation techniques and be comfortable working side by side with technical members of team.  This would include an understanding of proper test-driven development and continuous integration techniques as well as the typical forms of automation seen on high-performing Agile teams. 

This position will be heavily focused with coaching activities on client sites across North America, and should therefore have very strong verbal and written communication skills.

The successful candidate is a person who wishes to take Agile experience and apply it in a mentoring and teaching role, working with a multitude of clients across industries to move them to higher levels of Agile maturity.  Substantial travel will be required with a significant portion requiring work from client sites.

 RequirementsStrong client-facing presentation and facilitation skills, coaching and mentorship experience on several engagements or workshops.  Technical Project Management experience on multiple Agile projects.  Strong experience with development and delivery of course/workshop instruction based on Agile, iterative process, TDD, CI, SCRUM,etc. A thought leader with published articles/books and/or experience speaking at conferences. Experience bridging the gap between process and technical strategy at all organizational levels. Prior consulting experience strongly preferred. 100% travel required to Orange County, California and Orlando, Florida. 

Experience/EducationBachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics, Technology or equivalent as determined by a professional credentials evaluation. 10+ years of progressive experience in software development.

Location

Anywhere within the continental United States, with a strong preference in the South Central region.
