Senior Analyst/Programmer- Job #046-08-N
Duties: Analyze system requirements, communicate with users, understand their needs, and define systems specifications. Develop project task plans; ensure timely project completion. Prepare charts to assist in analyzing problems; solve problems using manual and electronic data processing. Complete system implementation feasibility studies. Perform post implementation system audits. Write systems and program specifications and perform programming, testing, implementation and training as required. Determine training needs of the user community for successful transition to modified/new systems.
Qualifications: BA/BS degree with major course work in Information Systems or Accounting, and at least three years experience in the field of systems design; or equivalent combination of college/information systems education with at least six years experience. Proficiency in programming languages and operating systems expertise consisting of, but not limited to, the following: COBOL, C++, Oracle PL/SQL, Visual Basic, Java, Microsoft .Net, PERL, and AIX, Windows operating systems. Knowledge of Lawson HR Payroll and Mincom’s Ellipse application business applications preferred.
