Senior Business Systems Analyst

AMSC (American Superconductor Corporation - NASDAQ: AMSC) serves the utility, industrial and wind power markets with a host of leading energy technologies based on proprietary high temperature superconductor (HTS) wires and power electronic systems.


Job Summary:

TheSenior Business Systems Analyst will effectively work as a team member to support IT departments and all other business units with issues relating to enterprise applications. Position will function as a blend of project specialist and business analyst in providing ongoing support and implementations of business change and corporate structures.


Principal Responsibilities:

•Function as specialist in support of ERP system, time and attendance system and implementation of new systems

•Creates database and reporting solutions with data integration tools to provide efficient corporate management reporting

•Analyzes and improves internal reporting issues for faster, more efficient management

•Maintain project objectives and scope, report status and deliver quality results meeting project schedules.

•Perform other project management responsibilities

•Assist Applications Manager with other duties as needed.


Education, Training and Experience

The candidates for this position should have a minimum of 5 years of business analysis/project management experience working with ERP systems.

Cross Functional experience in accounting and manufacturing with a familiarity in a variety of processes, concepts and procedures. Provide leadership in areas of business processes and assist Applications Manager with software implementation and integration projects.

Minimum of bachelor’s degree in related area. Candidate must have experience in the following areas: ERP Software, Time and Attendance Software, Extensive report writing, Relational Database exp., SQL and Project Management. The candidate must have excellent communication skills, be organized, detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and able to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Domestic and International travel is required.  Experience in a small to medium sized company is preferred.
