Current Job Opportunity Summary:
CSG is seeking a full-time Senior Data and Operations Analyst to work in our Iselin, New Jersey location (Metropark area), to support the company’s IT systems and infrastructure. The successful candidate will manage daily IT operations in the New Jersey office, coordinate Oracle database support functions for the New Jersey Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® program, and assist in database systems development, including specification of data base needs, data analysis using Oracle SQL, and writing PL/SQL scripts.
This position will be expected to maintain the local area network in coordination with CSG’s central IT department; to maintain data integrity of the database; to prepare regular, periodic reports and perform special analyses in a timely fashion upon request from the client or program manager; and to provide feedback to CSG’s applications development team on opportunities to improve and evolve the database system in keeping with the demands of the client and with program changes over time.
Duties and Responsibilities:
§ Manage data analysis systems for a variety of tasks, activities and reports; ensure that the database is functioning; identify program database needs; and assist in database development tasks for CSG’s Applications Development team.
§ Participate in development, implementation, and maintenance of data policies, objectives, and plans, providing a critical interface between project staff and software developers; identify problems with current database structures, processes and procedures.
§ Prepare and submit accurate monthly, quarterly and annual reports and develop new reports on an ad hoc basis under the direction of the Program Director.
§ Train Program staff and Contractors in the use of CSG’s database systems; provide database and software support to contractors and CSG administrative staff responsible for the oversight of project work, in order to ensure consistent and accurate data entry and storage.
§ Provide IT infrastructure and help desk support to staff in the New Jersey office, in coordination with CSG’s central IT department in Westborough, Massachusetts.
§ • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
§ Three to five years demonstrated experience in database management
§ Three years experience using SQL and writing SQL scripts and queries
§ One to three years experience with local area network maintenance and help desk support
§ Knowledge of, and experience with, Oracle database systems highly desirable
§ Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with Access and spreadsheet creation and maintenance in Excel
§ Strong analytical skills
§ Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals
§ Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures
§ Excellent organizational and self-directed skills - ability to initiate, coordinate and prioritize responsibilities and follow through on tasks and projects, and ability to perform multiple tasks in an environment of frequent and often short deadlines
§ Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
§ Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
§ Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range
of stakeholders
Salary:
$75,000 - $85,000, depending on experience
