Senior Documentum Developer

***This is a perm position--please no third party companys--we can not work corp to corp.***

 

Our client, an established financial services company seeks a Senior Documentum Developer for a full-time position to work in Boston, MA. 

 

OBJECTIVE: 

Develop and support client/server applications using rapid application development methodologies, implement system solutions to enhance operating efficiencies.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

§ Develop new applications following agile development methodologies

§ Modify existing systems to correct bugs or enhance functionality

§ Integrate custom developed applications with third party packages

§ Configure application servers, databases, and third party packages

§ Develop unit test plans and perform unit testing on all code changes

§ Participate in function, integration, regression, and acceptance testing by working with appropriate resources

§ Conduct task estimation for input to project planning

§ Work with outside vendors to evaluate, install, and customize third party applications

§ Create and maintain technical and functional specifications for end user needs

§ Mentor less experienced members of the team and communicate project status to project team, business partners, and managers

 

REQUIREMENTS:

§ Must have hands-on, in-depth knowledge with Documentum’s ECM platform and Enterprise Information Management strategies

§ Must have hands-on, in-depth knowledge of object-oriented/service-oriented application development using the .NET framework specifically leveraging C#.NET and ASP.NET

§ Must have expert knowledge of relational database design, implementation, and tuning including specific hands-on experience with Oracle and/or SQL/Server

§ Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills

§ Must have familiarity in Microsoft OS environment

§ Should have a high-level understanding of networking protocols

§ Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

§ Experience with web services and SOA implementations a definite plus

§ Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related area and/or applicable certification

§ Minimum five years relevant work experience

§ Proven experience in developing and designing object-oriented, web-based, and rich-client-based applications

§ Must have demonstrated experience working on large projects

§ Must have the ability to understand business requirements and effectively translate those to technical requirements is essential

§ Financial industry experience preferred
