Job Reference Code PCK150-27713 Req ID: 6602Required Education: Bachelor of ScienceRequired Experience: 5-7 YearsDescription: The E-Commerce Application Engineer is works as a representative IT with the Product Development teams, bringing the operational perspective to the development project teams, participating in the design of the infrastructure to support the project, planning the monitoring and and implementation and work with the operational team to implement. This person will also lead IT initiatives to design and optimize Production and Test environments. Responsibilities:?Have a complete understanding of the E-commerce platforms application functionality, system flow and technology infrastructure?Establish and maintain relationships with peers within the ProductDev organization and within the IT Operations organization?Understand the business and product direction in order to plan and design an adapted infrastructure?Be the expert ressource within IT for your assigned systems/applications?Own your assigned projects, provide status reports, escalate issues?Own the Ecommerce ApplicationEngineering deliverables within a project, such as IT requirements, Application Engineering design documents, implementation plans and hand-off to the IT Operations team.?Bring technological and process leadership to the team?Establish standards and best practices within the teamRequirements: ?5 or more years of hands on experience in system & application administration?3 – 5 years of Application Infrastructure design?Experience working with Software Development teams on Specs and Design?Experience in a large scale Web/E-Commerce environment?Experience with managing and supporting large-scale high volume windows environments required?Experience with managing and supporting large-scale high volume Linux environments an asset?Experience managing environments using Java application servers such as BEA Weblogic, Apache Tomcat, Resin, Jboss an asset?Knowledge of the following tools an asset: BladeLogic, ProActiveNet, NetCool?Experience working in a 24x7 production environment.
