If you're as excited about the future as we are, consider this opportunity.Mattel currently has an opening for a Sr. Infrastructure Technician to join the I.T. Infrastructure group located at Mattel's Phoenix Technology Center. Responsibilities include but are not limited:' Monitor network, web services, and batch processing systems using various management tools, including Spectrum, CiscoWorks, NetIQ, NetQOS, Big Brother, and UC4 Scheduler. ' Perform level two problem determination and resolution or escalation of batch processing, web services, and network problems. ' Escalate to and manage circuit issues, implementations, and upgrades with communications vendor.' Coordinate and execute power distribution and cabling installations, as well as server builds in the data center.' Support Infrastructure projects as assigned, including global network device and circuit upgrades.' Maintain tape library infrastructure, including reporting, auditing, and distributing daily backup tapes. The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:' 2 - 4 years experience monitoring and performing levels one and two support activities for at least one of the following disciplines: LAN/WAN support in a Cisco environment, iSeries, UC4, UNIX server administration, Windows server administration, large scale tape libraries support, reporting/responding to facilities alerts/alarms, web services support, or server hardware support.' A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. ' Cisco (CCNA or higher), Microsoft (MCSA or higher), or UNIX System Administration (Solaris or AIX) certifications preferred.' Strong people, analytical, problem solving, leadership, written and verbal communication skills. The individual must have the ability to monitor and troubleshoot multiple platforms, support many global locations, and rotate shift schedules regularly, including days of the week and night versus day shifts.
