Darigold is looking for a Senior LAN/WAN Analyst as a member of the Darigold team to provide recommendations on PC and peripheral equipment and Intel Based Servers for Darigold.  You will coordinate with vendors to perform warranty work on IT equipment; design, evaluate, implement, and administer the NT servers for our company, which includes Email, File and Print, SQL Servers, and many other application servers; and protect the systems from malicious damage by administering proper security and anti-virus protection on these systems.  You will also manage the Wide Area Network (WAN) as well as the Local Area Network (LAN).



 

 

Responsibilities:Monitor and support NT servers through out Darigold.  Coordinate problem identification, notification and support during resolution with outside vendors for NT Server issues

 Identifies and designs the equipment configuration for all Windows based servers for Information Technology department.  Works with vendors to purchase necessary equipment and supplies.  Creates Purchase Requisitions & Purchase Orders for IT equipment, outside services and supplies.  Also purchases minor items within our P-Card system

 Determines the standard image for all PC’s, Laptops and NT Servers.  Assesses the common software required for every device on our network.  Including Office Suite, communications, anti-virus, remote control, etc

 Administers our Email system.  Maintain current version of Microsoft Exchange Server software across our network

 Oversees the security implementation for the Microsoft Windows domain to include servers, workstations, and the associated data.  This includes virus protection across our network.  Develops, maintains and implements the Security policies necessary to ensure a safe and reliable computing environment for Darigold.  Coordinates with and  trains Application developers, Security administrators and users to configure the systems to enforce the security policies

 Designs, evaluates and implements the Backup and Recovery of our various systems to safeguard the data in the NT servers

 Designs, implements and manages the WAN and LAN to provide a safe and economical network for Darigold to conduct business.  Includes the implementation of property security measures to safeguard the network

 

 

 

Skills, Education & Abilities:

·  Three years of work experience in Information Technology hardware/software configuration and problem solving.  Knowledge of application software (i.e. Microsoft Operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, EMAIL, Virus Protection, Project Management Software, VISIO, etc.).  MCSE Certified and experience with SMS and MOM. 

·  Knowledge of network building & troubleshooting is a must.  Experience working with Telco’s and networking venders to establish WANS.  Knowledge of Cisco networking a plus.
