Senior MAC Engineer

Acting as our organizations lead MAC OS X Engineer, you will be a member of one of several technical teams and provide top level consulting to our clients with MAC environments. In this role you will primarily troubleshoot and repair advanced client IT issues while managing projects assigned by your technical manager. The Apple Technical Engineer will also act as an escalation point for Tier 2 technical engineers and respond to critical or emergency incidents.

Your key responsibilities:
• Consult with Small to Medium Business clients and prospects to develop IT solutions
• Troubleshoot and repair client IT issues
• Perform advanced maintenance and system administration tasks
• Manage projects assigned by the technical manager
• Respond to critical or emergency incidents
• Train junior engineers and technicians

General Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• 4-6 years of MAC OSX server experience
• 4-6 years of networking experience
• Apple Certified Desktop Technician (ACDT) is preferred but not required
• Must be creative and possess excellent problem solving skills, and the ability to discuss advanced technical concepts at an abstract technical level

Expert

• Apple/MAC OS X Desktop and Server versions 10.3 and up
• Open Directory
• Microsoft Exchange or alternative mail solution
• Printer, workstation, server hardware for MACs
• Microsoft Office including Entourage
• Apple scripting

Basic to Intermediate

• Microsoft Windows 2000, XP, Vista, Server 2003
• Microsoft Active Directory
• Blackberry and Treo/PDA
• Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware software
• Citrix
• Cisco PIX and ASA
• Cisco routers and switches
• Data backup
• Wireless LAN technology
