Senior Network Engineer

Infinium Capital Management is seeking a Senior Network Engineer with 3-5 years experience in supporting large-scale Windows and Centralized Storage environments. This professional will work in a team environment dedicated to the infrastructure needs of the firm, and will be a mentor to staff in our Chicago technology support group. The ability to apply strong communications and customer service skills in quickly troubleshooting network, hardware and software problems is required. The Senior Network Engineer will also need to prioritize their workload while managing multiple tasks and projects, and anticipating the technical support needs of the traders. Job Responsibilities: • Develop standards for both the Windows and Storage environments. • Design, deploy, and document new servers and storage devices for the environment.• Function as the resident Windows operating system expert, on the desktop and server sides; work closely with R&D and Development groups to tune performance and gather data. • Manage the company electronic communication environment, including Microsoft Exchange and various other messaging and message audit programs. • Manage and improve the Windows Domain by adding value to Active Directory, login scripting, and Group Policy. • Deploy and Manage storage solutions. • Other duties and special projects as assigned. Background Required:• Expert level knowledge of Microsoft desktop, server, and mobile technologies, with an emphasis on Active Directory, Exchange, Group Policy, and Scripting. • Experiencing working with custom n-tier, and ASP-based applications deployed on the Windows platform. • Experience working in the Financial Services Industry, preferably in a proprietary or hedge fund based group. • Senior level experience working with centralized storage devices, specifically NAS and iSCSI. • Minimum Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited 4 year university majoring in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or an allied field. Graduate education or research experience a plus.
