100,000.00 - 120,000.00 USD /year Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: IT/Software Development Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Reference Code: 102680 Senior Network Engineer (MPLS) General Employment Enterprises, Inc. is a nation-wide, publicly traded placement agency with a successful track record that goes back over 110 years.  Every one of our offices places qualified, prescreened applicants in permanent, contract and contract to hire opportunities.  We have the following permanent opportunity available at one of our client's sites. Senior Network Engineer (MPLS) Our client is a very well known property and casualty insurance company with their world wide headquarters in metro-west.  They are currently looking for a number of key individuals to join the team that is responsible for researching all new technologies and engineering enterprise solutions for the company.  The Senior Network Engineer will report to the VP of Infrastructure Engineering and will be the go to person in upgrading the network infrastructure and implementing new state-of-the-art technologies. In this highly visible position you will need to be very professional to sit in executive meetings and very technical to architect complete solutions.  One of the first projects will be to replace their existing Frame Relay infrastructure with an MPLS infrastructure.  This is a mission critical endeavor and they do need someone that has successfully led a large scale, enterprise wide MPLS roll out/migration from start to finish.  The ultimate goal is to implement an enterprise wide Unified Communications (UC) solution nd the MPLS backbone is the first step.There are several projects on the agenda for the remainder of the year and some already scheduled for 2009.  The environment consists of 5500 users spread over 45 locations, F5 load balancers, Nokia/Checkpoint firewalls, Aruba wireless…  The technology is top notch and getting better. The company offers a very competitive compensation package that consists of a generous base salary ($100-120K+), a substantial bonus and excellent benefits.
