Senior Programmer

Regal Medical Group is an affiliated Independent Physician Association (IPA) of Heritage Provider Network. We have an opening in our Northridge location for a Senior Programmer.

 

The Senior Programmer  position shares responsibility for the designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation for all in house developed Windows-based client/server, standalone and web applications written in Macromedia Cold Fusion, Visual Basic, .Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, html and javascript and shared support of in house developed code used to support our vendor supplied packaged software applications. 

 

Job Description:

 

·  Works both independently and as part of a project team to provide support of all in house developed Windows-based client/server, stand alone and web applications.

·  Works both independently and as part of a project team to provide support of all in house developed add on code that is created to support our vendor supplied packaged software applications.

·  Provide support by leading and assisting in the analysis, design, construction, implementation, and maintenance of DTS and SSIS transformations that are used extensively to load and prepare our data warehouses.

·  Develops and provides analysis to support research and development of IS initiatives.

·  Develops supporting documentation & training material.

·  Establishes and maintains effective, consistent reporting to IS and Executive management as needed.

·  Provides recommendations for IS initiatives that support the user community. Ensure all process are completed in a timely manner and performs random audit on IS practices, reports on support delivery.

·  Provides support for all Intranet and Extranet application

·  Knowledgeable and conversant in latest trends and practices in information technology, and its culture and role in the healthcare industry and work to keep those skills up to date

 

Job Requirements:

 

·  A bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or appropriate industry experience and/or certification.

·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·  Familiarity with the practice of development using a structured system life cycle and proper change control practices

·  Experience with Crystal reports, Adobe, MS visual Studio2005 or other reporting tools

·  Experience with clinical applications preferred.

·  Project Management preferred.

·  Customer service skills preferred

·  Requires minimum of 5 years experience of development of web facing applications using various programming languages such as Visual Basic, javascript, Cold Fusion.

·  Requires minimum of 3 years experience of health care background.  Especially knowledgeable in the area of authorization processing, familiarity with EZ Cap is preferred.

·  Requires minimum of 5 years experience using Microsoft Access, SQL Server 2000 and 2005, and DB2 databases.

·  Proficient with DTS package creation and SSIS usage.

·  Proficient with XML, HTML and concepts related to data transformation

·  Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
