Senior Project Manager - Professional Billing / HealthcareYonkers, NYDescription: * Position involves management of systems and teams providing Inpatient, Outpatient, Technical & Professional billing services for Montefiore Medical Center, using IDX Flowcast product with multiple reports, extracts, and interfaces, particularly HIPAA transactions with emphasis on Revenue enhancement opportunities. * Oversee Professional Revenue Cycle systems * Supply automated solutions that meet client objectives as they relate to Professional Revenue Cycle systems. These objectives will streamline operations, improve accuracy, increase revenue, increase savings, and ultimately improve patient care. * Provide leadership to achieve success and timely implementations * Evaluate requests for new systems, enhancements, or other opportunities, proposing alternatives to client management, and implement the approved approach. The solutions include purchased and/or in-house developed software and purchased or leased hardware components. * Manage staff and enforce developed processes and policies for the group/organization * Provide technical guidance to Medical Group Billing Operations team and external clients * Provide guidance with systems issues and obtain the required skills within or outside of the organization to: define problems and objectives; describe the current operating mode; describe the function/feature requirements; determine Costs & Benefits; define issues as they relate to data, technical and operational feasibility; facilitate a logical conclusion that will lead to a solution to our clients business/operational goals; negotiate and obtain the required hardware/software services; Insure the continued viability of existing client revenue cycle systems * Work closely with the Project Office and Implementation managers to insure the appropriate project resources are available for new implementations and the maintenance of existing systems/products for our healthcare clients The ideal candidate will possess: * BA/BS is required and a minimum of 7 years of experience required in the Healthcare and IT. A minimum of 5 years specializing in billing and financial systems is required. Significant professional billing systems experience * Understanding of Medical Billing regulations (New York State Preferred) for Professional billing * Experience in GE Healthcare system * Must have strong knowledge of healthcare systems and products and implementation processes * Detailed knowledge and prior experience with Interfaces and Interface engines * Strong Understanding of HIPAA transactions, HL/7 interfaces, Ancillary charge interfaces, and interoperability with EDI and Real-time transactions * Proven experience as project & personnel management in healthcare/IT environment required * Working knowledge of clinical and/or ancillary systems is a plusEOENo agencies, please.
