Senior Project Manager - Professional Services

POSITION SUMMARY:

Directs project team, manages costs and schedules, ensures contract compliance, and serves as customer interface.

 

PROJECT MANAGEMENT: 

Ø Plans, implements and maintains project organization structure.

Ø Evaluates effectiveness of project organization, and makes changes when needed.

Ø Acts as the primary customer interface and has profit and loss responsibility; oversight and management of Cost, Schedule and Performance Metrics of Program.

Ø Responsible for planning, organizing, directing and tracking all aspects of the project (including technology, schedule, cost, contract and customer satisfaction).

Ø Interfaces with task and functional leaders, subcontractors, and support personnel.

 

 

RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT: 

Ø Acts as the primary project interface with upper management.

Ø Must provide proactive leadership and direction of personnel performing complex tasks.

 

 

 PEOPLE MANAGEMENT: 

Ø Selects and recruits team members.

Ø Assesses performance of subordinates and coaches them as needed.

Ø Directs team training and mentoring and assigns responsibilities as appropriate.

 


SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

BS/BA degree.

Minimum of 10 years experience in a Project Manager capacity.

Strong technical aptitude- to include application development, vendor selections, deployment and training.

PMP certification highly desired.

Detail orientation

High level of customer service focus.

Ability to deal with ambiguity and to make suggestions as needed.

Ability to manage multiple projects at one time; these may include Enterprise Mobility, Healthcare or other focus as described.

Experience using the MS suite or products with an expert knowledge in MS Project.

 

No relocation will be offered.

10-15% overnight travel is expected.
