We are currently looking for the best talent available for a Senior SAP Information Technology Business Analyst (SBA) with a proven track record in technology based solutions for an international corporation.  This position requires both strong technical and project management skills and is located at our office in New Britain, CT.  The Senior SAP Information Technology Business Analyst (SBA) will have in depth experience in supply chain processes, manufacturing and consultation in progressively increasing SAP leadership roles within an industrial environment. The SBA will have previous experience in software development lifecycle including requirements gathering and technical / systems analysis and design. The position requires working effectively with stakeholders, business partners and technical resources to ensure that business requirements become operational. The SBA must be able to effectively communicate business requirements, document business/functional requirements, and perform business process mapping, system testing, user acceptance testing and conduct training. Excellent project management skills are required. The SBA is the link between the Business and IT.

 

Major Responsibilities: Understand and challenge the business requirements, implications and project constraints.Perform Cost/Benefit analysis as required.Ensure smooth implementation into business areas and provide post implementation support.Prepare / present training material where required.Monitor and assess issues raised during the project and take appropriate action to ensure resolution.Track and log issues as they arise, ensure changes to scope are agreed with the PMO.Communicate regularly with Business Users, IT, Project Managers throughout all stages of the project life cycle to ensure that the project is meeting the business requirements.

·  Gather and document business requirements by working with the business users and stakeholders to understand their needs.

·  Facilitate communication with developers, in a distributed environment, to ensure that customer requirements are translated to design specifications and appropriate testing efforts.

·  Participate in process improvement activities and metrics.

·  Provide application end-user training, including the development of end-user documentation.

·  Produce test plans/scripts, conduct system testing, and coordinate user acceptance testing activities.

·  Work with the business functional areas to research and identify the best solution to support the most efficient business processes.

·  Where appropriate, perform application setup and configuration in support of the implementation of new modules or the addition of new functionality.

·  Provide Tier One support to the business users as required.

Minimum Experience:

5-10 years as a Senior IT Business Analyst
7 years Project Management

 

Education:

BS Degree in Computer Science or related field

MBA preferred
