The successful candidate will provide expertise in the development, coding, testing, and debugging of new software applications and enhancements to existing applications. Applicants must have good communications skills as well as a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and perform work on time and within budget resources. This is a unique opportunity to join a talented team of GIS and software development professionals and work on a variety of exciting and challenging projects.Degree in Computer Science, Geography or GIS related field required. Qualified candidates will have at least five years of experience in GIS application design and development with a working knowledge of several languages and both proprietary and open-source development tools, including the Windows .NET platform for both desktop and web, DHTML, XML and Web services (SOAP, XML Schema), version control, and configuration management. Expertise in Windows or Linux Operating System and related technologies, including security and authentication, Internet Information Server, Apache, and related services is a must. Candidate must have experience developing software for relational databases including Postgres, Oracle, and SQL Server.
