Senior Software QA Engineer Senior Software QA Engineer Develop Test Plans, test cases based on Product Requirements and design specifications. Configure test environments to meet testing and development requirements. Perform testing: Internationalization, Ad Hoc, White box, functional, customer scenario, compatibility, performance, scalability and stress, security, client/server, instruments. Perform low level testing and validation of algorithm and database I/O components. Identify and log defects and work with development to resolve defects. Execute testing and perform formal validation for final release. Assist in maintaining test tools and test lab. Requirements:• BS / MS degree with background in Biology, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, computer science or related Experience. • Minimum of 3 years professional experience in Software testing • Experience testing Windows desktop applications • Experience in Internationalization testing • Able to develop scripts for automated testing using SILK • Strong background in API and web automation frameworks and techniques • Experience with test methodologies and tools development • Strong analytical, problem solving and trouble shooting skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to consistently provide high quality feedback on product readiness, to assess testing requirements and verify proper testing coverage and procedures • Ability to work both independently and collectively in a team environment • Prior experience with Life Science or Bioinformatics Organization desirable • Experience with proper laboratory practices and procedures.
