Senior Solutions Engineer / Field Escalation Manager

DESCRIPTION: Provide 3rd level customer support for escalated field issues with key clients using Linux, Windows, backup applications & hardware experience including the following:

· Provide remote support services for key customers and field personnel

· Provide onsite assistance to customers with installations

· Manage escalations, develop & implement customer specific action plans 

· Work well in a startup environment

· Travel up to 60%

EDUCATION: BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Information Technology

REQUIREMENTS:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Able to work closely with all levels of customers, internal engineers and management (up to CTO or CEO level) on complex issues

· Minimum 2 years of Linux (Redhat) and Windows administration

· Strong Scripting skills (Perl, shell)

· Some experience with Java and C++

· Backup Applications (BackupExec, ARCserv, Netbackup, Galaxy, TSM)

· Strong account management skills

· Strong trouble shooting skills

· Strong organizational skills

· Networking and networked storage technologies
