' Managing and leading technical projects for deployment within the restaurant through the entire development lifecycle including creating technical requirements, hardware / software integration testing, field test coordination, and communication with internal teams, suppliers, and support organizations.' Windows Operating System load development for various hardware including POS/KVS terminals (Windows XPe) and Back Office servers (Windows Server 2003). ' Sharing best practices & leveraging learning between the US and other countries using the NewPOS POS software application and the Global Operating System loads.' Communicating and Integrating US Specific requirements to world wide COE (Center of Excellence) team for Windows ' Working with cross functional and virtual teams to design, develop, and deploy technology solutions to the field.' Working with Internal teams (Operations, Development, QA, Requirements, Support) and External Organizations (Equipment suppliers, SEI) to develop, document, and communicate installation and support processes / procedures.' Assessing new technology that can help improve operations and / or support processes within the restaurant (Virtualization, Thin Clients, IP based peripheral). ' Working with equipment suppliers, internal teams, and support organizations to identify and resolve hardware related issues in the field.' Creating documentation and status reporting on various tasks of the projects and communications to stake holders. ' Serving as a technical resource to assist in the deployment/integration and certification of POS equipment and peripherals in a lab environment. -(5) Years Restraunt Expereince, Technical ability to create test cases and detailed specifications. -Install and support lab equipment while creating test utilites and infrastructure tools to support hardware certification. Key responsibilities will be: - Technical Project Management- Communication with key internal and external project stakeholders- Testing Hardware - Documenting the processes for hardware deployment in the US - Coordinating and communicating hardware, software and field testing.- Identification of process issues and efficiencies with hardware by reviewing call logs, help desk tickets and vendor information on trending for these devices. - Provide pilot/production support - Development of detailed functional and technical requirements and specifications for hardware - Research and document practical end-to-end standards for installations and infrastructure. - Development of user manuals and troubleshooting guides that can be understood by non-technical individuals -Hands on technical person with an understanding of Windows Operating System, PCPOS, NEWPOS, Unix- Excellent written and verbal communications skills - Windows, Unix operating system (installation, configuration, fault finding) - Hardware experience (diagnostics, configuration) - Basic networking skills (Ethernet understanding and associated standards) and associated devices (routers, hubs, etc) -Basic knowledge of wirelss and wireless protocols- Basic scripting language knowledge (JavaScript, VBScript,etc) a plus- WIndows 2003 Server a plus - Windows XP Embedded a plus- Ability to understand and write XML a plus MCSE or similar beneficial - Technology Project Management (Requirements, Hardware / Software Testing, Software Integrations, Deployment Planning, Field Test)- Internal & External team communication (e.g. McDonalds Software Development, McDonalds Deployment, Hardware Equipment Suppliers, Support teams, etc.)- Strong understanding of Windows XP and Server 2003 Operating System management - Windows development & scripting- Windows configuration and management- SMS- PCPOS and NEWPOS experience - Wiring and Cabling KnowledgeA+ CertificationNetwork + CertificationBS in Computer Systems or equivalentPMP training or certification
