Senior Technical Project Manager

Senior Technical Project Manager

 

Location: Milwaukee, WI

Reports to: Senior Director, Service Operations

Arrangement:  Full-Time Salaried Employee

 

This is a hands-on position responsible for achieving engagement deliverables, tracking activity progress, and providing day-to-day guidance and leadership for Remote Service Adoption and Deployment projects.  The Senior Technical Project Manager will coordinate activities, manage resource utilization, issue tracking log, create weekly status reports, manage the change control process, escalate issues, and will perform periodic reviews of the process and generated deliverables. Overall responsibility is to lead the tactical implementation of a SilverTrain Remote Services Adoption engagement.

 

Although this is a senior level position, this person is also expected to be able to participate in the technical execution of the engagement deliverables, providing technical guidance and escalation to the project teams.  The ideal candidate will enjoy getting his/her hands dirty along side the team.

 

Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:

· Ultimate responsibility for achieving engagement deliverables

· Tracks activity progress through the detailed project plan

· Communicates to all members of the team

· Coordinates vendor activities

· Manages project resource utilization

· Manages the Issue Tracking Log

· Performs periodic reviews of the process and generated deliverables

· Identifies process improvements and implements new efficiencies into the delivery process

· Creates a weekly periodic status report

· Manages the Change Control Process

· Identifies and drives change

· Acts as a “level 3” technical support escalation point as necessary

· Performs technical troubleshooting and resolution activities as necessary to achieve goals

 

Position Requirements:

· Minimum of 5+ years of business and project management experience

· Minimum of 5+ years of experience with networking technologies, infrastructure and architecture (Cisco CCNA/P, CCDA/P certifications a plus)

· Strong knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol stack a plus

· Strong troubleshooting and problem resolution skills

· PMP certification a plus

· Experience managing Technical Call Center operations or projects a plus

· Experience with MS Project and the Microsoft Suite including Visio

· Experience working within Healthcare environments a plus

· Successful achievement of deliverables on prior projects

· Experience tracking activity progress through a project plan

· Prior experience managing resource utilization

· Experience managing issues and able to appropriately address issues with the team and client

· Prior experience performing reviews of generated deliverables

· Able to create weekly status reports

· Able to manage and address Change Control

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
