Job Title: Senior UNIX Administrator

 

Summary of Position:

 NetEffects is seeking a Senior UNIX System Administrator for one of America’s leading Biochemical Companies in the Midwest. 

 

Required Skills:At least four (4) years UNIX Administration (Linux, AIX and HPX). At least two (2) years experience with Tomcat version 5 and 5.5, Apache 1.3 or higher.Excellent communication, team skills, and a strong work ethic.Self motivated and ability to manage multiple competing priorities.

Preferred Skills:BEA WebLogic experience.

 

Responsibilities:Capturing customer requirements by helping customers communicate when they are unsure of what they need.Unix System Administrator with be responsible for Design Architecture, Building Servers, Managing server installation and needs to be willing to build boxes.Majority of time he Unix Administrator will be spent on external facing activities.
