Senior-level IT Manager for Cosmetics Company

Laura Mercier Cosmetics is seeking an experienced IT Manager with great customer service and follow up skills.  We are sold in 25 countries and 695 retail locations. 

Title: Senior IT Manager

Reports to: Director of Information Technology
Location: Houston, Texas  (currently located in Stafford by Sugar Land)

JOB SUMMARY The Senior IT Manager will be responsible for maintenance and support of middleware technology and infrastructure. This position will also assist with various server based projects including OS upgrades, patch administration, PC virtualization, and VPN technologies. In addition to listed activities, the Senior IT Manager will support corporate and field customers on various hardware, software, and Blackberry related topics while providing strategic ideas involving the development and delivery of technology solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS
1. Windows application, active directory, and server administration experience.
2. Experience with back up tape storage and Backup Exec 11.0
3. Coordinate and participate in various network activities including support of existing infrastructure, service level agreements, process development, and process documentation
4. Strong computer skills, including MS Server 2003, Windows 2K/XP/Vista, Office 2K/2003/2007, and Project Management tools.
5. Demonstration of strong customer service skills.
6. Proven leadership ability.
7. Strong analytical and quantitative skills as well as effective oral and written communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Experience scripting application deployment and administration.
2. Experience creating, updating, and closing work requests using Remedy software.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Manage, administer, and support corporate middleware environment.
Manage, administer, and support corporate and field desktop/laptop environments.
Provide clear, consistent, and timely communication regarding all job responsibilities including project updates, operational issues, etc.
Identify middleware technology risks and develops mitigation strategies for identified risks.
Ensure alignment of projects with the organization’s overall business strategy.
