SharePoint 2007 Architect
PLA seeks an experienced SharePoint 2007 Architect to help us grow our Software Development Practice Group by implementing industry leading solutions for our clients. The candidate must possess the following specific skill set to be considered:
7+ years (MS-CS) of IT project execution Minimum of 1 year of hands-on development experience with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server ("MOSS") 2007. MOSS installation and configuration a plus Experience with MOSS 2007 application implementation for large number of users Proven success in creating SharePoint 2007 and 2003 application architectures for projects spanning multiple business units, involving multiple resource pools, detailed understanding of SharePoint 2007 platform, full SDLC experience. Expertise in small to large farm SharePoint 2007 architecture design considerations, and familiarity with infrastructure deployment methodologies and security, access and audience appropriate designs. Develop the conceptual SharePoint 2007 solution architecture. Identify gaps/overlaps between the as-is and to-be SharePoint environment by process/function. Work with the Project Managers and Sales team members to estimate the work for a given SharePoint 2007 project. Work proactively to avoid schedule slips or cost overruns. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Keen attention to detail, ability to document technical architectures that could be clearly understood and immediately used by developers to construct code and unit test. Must be able to effectively interact with client representatives, project management, and fellow team members (both inside and outside of the immediate team) in the development of solutions that address the people, process, and technology needs of the organization. Ensures project scope and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and budget parameters. Ensures that the developed solution successfully passes through assigned quality gates from requirement, through design/architecture, development and deployment. One of the most important contributions will be balancing time across multiple projects or the most complex architectures and demonstrating an expert ability to design and develop SharePoint 2007 prototypes and adhere to functional, technical and documentation standards. Strong background and knowledge of all aspects of application testing – unit, component, regression, functional, systems integration and user acceptance testing. Experience in dealing with offshore development –familiarity, etc. will be a big plus. Participates in presales, proposal development, and other sales support activities. Must have knowledge of web design and aesthetic web concepts Good understanding of user authentication technologies LDAP/Active Directory/Forms Based and SSO. Additional experience in Microsoft .Net Framework including .NET Development Platform (Visual Studio), C#, C++, ASP.Net, XML, Soap, Web Services, and agile development methodologies a plus.
