Requirements:Design and develop intranet portals using Microsoft Office Share point Services 2007 (MOSS). Create, maintain and train as necessary on new MOSS 2007 enterprise solutions. Help define requirements for new integrated service oriented solutions using MOSS 2007. Initiate flexible and customer focused work flow and electronic forms-driven solutions. Participate in the implementation of all Share Point Collaboration tools. Be responsible for a wide range of technologies related to infrastructure and software. Be self motivated detail oriented problem solver. Effectively communicate and demonstrate interpersonal skills. Provide day-to-day application administration and troubleshooting for a web portal.Design, test and implement new Share Point 2007 features, including WebParts, custom applications and Enterprise features.Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise for Share Point projects.Provide advanced support for Site Administrators, including training and troubleshooting.Help develop application and end user support strategy including training, customer support and best practices.

·         Expert in using Share Point 2003 and MOSS 2007 products and technologies:

o    creating and managing site collections

o    creating managing and using Share Point lists

o    experience creating custom web parts that deploy to the bin folder

o    Experience developing custom site templates

o    Expert knowledge in troubleshooting Share Point 2003 and MOSS 2007 issues, including end user support.

 

Duties:

* Identifies network requirements by analyzing architectures, applications, programming, and operations involving networks, operating systems, file servers, and equipment (including voice, data, local and wide area networks, and video communications).

* Designs network operations and resources by translating requirements into hardware/software recommendations; researching alternative solutions; preparing proposals; analyzing cost-effectiveness; presenting concepts and infrastructures to customers.

* Plans network installation by developing implementation and integration process; setting priorities; preparing instructions and documentation for installation personnel; producing bills of material; staging equipment; developing prototypes.

* Installs network by monitoring progress; tuning core products; identifying, addressing, and resolving issues; providing status reports to client; coordinating internal resources; documenting actions; satisfying customer inquiries.

* Manages network performance by conducting capacity planning, network modeling, traffic analysis, forecasting, and provisioning; answering technical inquiries; advising on upgrade and expansion strategies; training customer personnel.

* Prepares action reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing project information.

* Maintains technical knowledge by understanding state-of-the-art technologies; attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications.

* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Skills/Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be able to install, configure, test and support MS Office Share Point Server 2007 and should have experience implementing and supporting Share Point for large environments. Must have a thorough technical understanding of the Windows server platform and have the ability to troubleshoot technical Share Point and platform related problems. Must have demonstrated experience upgrading large portals from SPS 2003 to MOSS 2007. Must have a working knowledge of next-generation web tools such as SilverLight.  4+ years supporting Web Applications in an MS environment (Windows Server 2003, Active Directory, IIS, ASP.NET, SQL Server 2000 and 2005). MS Office 2003 and Office 2007 Share Point integration expertise, Active Directory expertise, MS .NET platform familiarity.

This position involves a high degree of customer contact.  Strong verbal and presentation skills are crucial.  This individual will provide technical support during the sales process.
