Summary:
This position calls for a computer programmer with solid experience in the areas of crypto programming, full life cycle software development, and working as part of a small development team. Daily activities will include design, implementation, and integration efforts. Our team assists a large government entity in their efforts to comply with Homeland Security Presidential Directive-12, the software we develop and integrate is geared toward meeting that goal.
Essential Functions:
On-site design, development and integration of software.Analyze customer needs and provide software solutions as part of a team focused on meeting HSPD-12 goals.Analyze, Test, and resolve issues with application software, card management systems, and hardware security modules.Analyze and adapt electronic workflow system to customer needs.Create documentation to support software development life cycle to include requirements documents and software design documents.Work within on-site CVS version control software for code integrity.Other duties as assigned.Experience with nCipher Hardware Security Modules a plus. Experience with smart card programming (JavaCard, APDU) a plus.
Requirements:
Nine (9) years of software development experience plus a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field (or four years of additional experience). Proficiency working with Java, JavaScript.Work with CryptoApi, PKCS#11, Java Cryptographic Architecture, or Java Cryptographic Extension a plusExposure to C, C++, VB, .NET a plus.Experience with full software development life cycle. Experience with developing as part of a team, and using version control systems for code integrity. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients both technical and non-technical .Proven ability to adapt to new technologies and learn skills necessary for project completion.Mature, self-motivated, adaptable and able to work well in a group environment.Ability to develop and execute detailed written plans for tasks and projects.Experience with Lenel Physical Access Control System NOT REQUIRED but a plus.
