AFFINA is seeking to add key members to its U.S. team.  We now have an opening for an experienced Software Development Manager, working out of our Peoria, IL office.

 

Position Responsibilities

 

·  Develop and lead a team of skilled software development professionals

·  Set performance and strategic goals and facilitate achievement of objectives

·  Recruit, train and motivate new team members

·  Actively seek staff training and development opportunities

·  Provide effective project management and plans, from needs assessments to translation into specifications and instructions

·  Supervise personnel developing, maintain and modifying application programs

·  Act as primary contact for priority and specification change negotiations

·  Prepare administrative reports and collaborate with internal clients to ensure smooth communications and promote a positive work environment

 

Position Qualifications

 

·  Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or similar field (or experience equivalent to achieve proficiency in computer programming)

·  Minimum 8 years’ technical/software development experience (10 preferred), 2-4 of which managing a technical staff

·  Proven expertise in platforms and/or applications supported by Affina, Software Development Life Cycle, CCM and Project Management technology

·  Excellent analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills

·  Initiative, a strong sense of organization, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, changeable setting

·  The communication skills necessary to interact successfully with direct reports, peers, management and internal/external customers
