Develop program objectives and provide oversight to implement the technical contribution to program execution. Provide onsite technical, analytic, engineering, and programmatic support; and perform various other tasks, frequently with short suspense, and with far-reaching implications. Duties may expand/change based on customer needs.Some travel is requried. Current DoD SECRET clearance is required.Essential Job Functions Performs highly complex systems modeling, simulation and analysis to provide appropriate solution. Conducts investigations and tests of complex software systems to enhance performance or investigate and resolve matters of significance. Reviews completion and implementation of technical products to ensure success and timeliness. Reviews literature, patents and current practices relevant to the solution of more complex projects. Recommends corrections in complex technical applications and analysis to enhance performance. Evaluates vendor capabilities on projects to provide required products or services. Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel. Provides technical consultation to other organizations; interacts with senior customer personnel and internal senior management. Interfaces daily with an executive-level customer; Provides the customer base with first level support. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or related technical field preferred Seven or more years of experience in software engineering or operating systems programming Experience working with software design principles Other Qualifications Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills to resolve highly complex systems design issues and create new software for one or more products Good leadership skills to mentor, oversee, and lead team members. Candidate must be flexible, possess strong bearing in a rapidly changing environment, and be able to work well with other teams. Strong verbal and written communications skills required. Ability to clearly express ideas/concepts is necessary. Proficiency using Microsoft products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project, and Access). Candidate must possess excellent personal computer skills to support desktop analysis, concept development, generation of technical papers, and briefings. Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with senior customers, management, and team members Ability to synthesize broad and narrow concepts of high complexity and use them to meet company objectives Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Demonstrated ability to perform in a fast paced, multi-tasking, team environment. Preferred Qualifications:Experience with technical, analytic, engineering, and administrative support activities in DoD acquisition management and software engineering and development, Experience providing technical assistance to government project management personnel.
