Solution Architect

Daugherty Business Solutions is looking for BI Solution Architect who wants to build his or her career as a key member of a growing, successful company!

The Daugherty BI Solution Architect will be a thought leader in the Minneapolis market. They will share responsibility for Line of Service (LOS) revenue/margin targets, LOS strategy for local market, competitive differentiation, service offering definition/tools, marketing presentations, whitepapers, case studies, marketing events, etc.

They will support sales in consultative selling to key Tier 1 executives, solution crafting, developing business cases, proposal development / estimates, etc.

Furthermore, the person will work on delivery methods, tools, templates, quality assurance activities, and ensuring that project artifacts are retained for reuse.

Requirements:

1) 15+ years of BI experience with technical knowledge of several DataBases, Enterprise Reporting, Data Movement, Data Quality, Hardware, Storage options.
2) Coordinates the work of technical, data, ETL, and BI architects.
3) Oversees the design of the data and technical architecture for the data warehouse.
4) Works with architects to create a high-level, enterprise architecture to support a growing portfolio of BI applications.
5) Owns or directly shapes the BI strategy and architecture
6) Oversees the development of logical and physical data models, ETL scripts, metadata definitions and models, queries and reports, schedules, work processes, and maintenance procedures.
7) Ensures proper backup and recovery processes.
8) Supervises selection of hardware, storage, and software products.
9) Creates a robust, sustainable architecture that supports requirements and provides for expansion given budgetary constraints and availability of data and skilled resources.
10) Evaluates and selects various data warehousing tools and components.
11) Coordinates multiple architects responsible for development, integration, administration, and evolution of the data warehouse.
12) Designs the data warehouse technical environment including hardware, software and sizing requirements.
13) Ensures technical standards are followed.
14) Maintains technical standards and ensures they are reused and not redeveloped. This includes tool selection and hardware selection.
