Drive improvements in MNS business performance, unlock opportunities for growth and create new value with strategic advantage and innovation. Develop an integrated I/T portfolio management approach incorporating the disciplines of Portfolio and Investment Planning and Project Portfolio Management. Drive development, implementation and maintenance of the MNS Service Catalog. The Services Catalog is primarily a tool/methodology to describe and sell network services to users. It describes features, components, etc and provides details of SLAs between the CSC and its customers and suppliers. o Driven by customer needs and requirements, focused on differentiating CSC from its' competitors, accurately reflecting environmental forces and trends (business, technology and I/T); o Used to identify target customer segments (prospective large clients by industry, prospective midsize clients, existing client renewal and expansion, etc.); o Defining target services and solutions that clients want to buy, that are packaged how they want to buy them, that without question add value and position CSC with a competitive advantage; o With clearly defined strategies and plans for: Ts & Cs, SOW Sales channels and sales support materials required for all phases Costing and pricing Marketing communications and collateral Transition and delivery Remain current in market technology/service offerings with respect to I/T market trends, economic situation, and potential impact on MNS portfolio. Understanding the service delivery mechanism is key. Represent MNS in new business and expansion process and efforts. This includes facilitating management and executive reviews; supporting executive briefings on opportunities; standardizing and streamlining process and communications; and ensuring capability/cost alignment is 100% aligned between new business solutions and the network delivery team. Manage the MNS project/initiative portfolio (multi-account/regional/global projects) to ensure proper business alignment, investment balance, value add, risk assessment and resource managementKey priorities - Outcomes or Deliverables: Development/announcement of MNS Services Catalog; to include Portfolio Overview, Specific descriptions for services, products, and solutions. Competitive assessment of current service offerings Market research of customer requirements, today vs. future state Work closely with GST Product Management organization to ensure alignment and interlock Marketing collateral for services including offering spec sheets and case studies Ensure that documented, effective processes (and collateral) exists in support of new business and growth (Key functional areas are MNS, NBS, GST) a. Sales materials (line cards, glossies, spec sheets, etc) for services in support of proposal activities, product demos, client opportunity meetings, etc. b. Pre-approved costing methodology and models for services based on key planning assumptions and business driversc. MNS integrated into schedule and review process, proactive view of pipelineDefines, develops, promotes and manages a portfolio of strategic solutions and offerings (either global or to an industry), combining business, solutions, IT, sales and marketing expertise. Works closely with business developers, account managers, competency managers, and executive management to develop and grow their portfolio of solutions and offerings and is responsible for the financial performance of the portfolio. Manages solution profits and losses, participates in solution business plan creation and monitors solution financial performance against plan. Assists in preparing financial models. Promotes use of strategic solutions and offerings by the business development community and provides support to sales/proposal teams during the launch phase of the life cycle. Participates in solution selling activities and ensures that marketing plans align with sales/launch plans. Evaluates concepts (market timing, compelling event, problem identification). Identifies business requirements and ensures delivered solutions meet short- and long-term performance expectations of company and clients. Provides thought leadership and strategic guidance on bridging the gap between the business problem faced by clients and the benefits available from the solution/offering under development. Selects and hires employees. Trains and evaluates employees to enhance their performance, development, and work product. Addresses performance issues and makes recommendations for personnel actions. Motivates and rewards employees including providing salary increases, bonuses and promotions within allocated budgets and company guidelines. Prepares, recommends and oversees development of operating and personnel budgets. Monitors spending for adherence to budget plans, develops and recommends variances. Performs and/or oversees budget analysis. Basic Qualifications 8-10 years IT experience in operations, program management, cost modeling, and strategic planning Advanced degree from an accredited university, in business, economics, or related field Demonstrated business acumen, industry acumen, strategic thinking, and financial management knowledge Demonstrated leadership qualities: Integrity, attention to detail, timeline sensitive, goal oriented, motivator Demonstrated ability to focus on key issues, research, gather and integrate information from a variety of sources and find alternative solutions to problems or limitations Imaginative, motivated, and able to work effectively under pressure Results oriented with an ability to accomplish objectives in a specified timeframe Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills to be able to effectively interact with executive management, line managers, financial managers, and technical subject matter experts throughout the organization Ability to identify, and clearly articulate, the inter-relationship between technical, economic, and strategic issues to both technical and executive audiences Ability to work effectively with virtual teams, and with highly educated technical professionals as well as some key suppliers.
