Solutions Architect - Store systems

Contract-Perm Solutions Architect Needed for large Company in Downtown Dallas

Complete Description:
• Participates in the technology initiative planning, requirements, design and delivery processes as a subject matter expert on technologies used in the RIS Store platform which include and not limited to:
• .net SOA architecture
• Mobile device architecture – hardware, OS, applications
• Software, hardware, network and retail peripherals (payment authorization devices, scanners, POS, printers etc.) from an architectural point of view
• Relational databases, SQL Server
• PCI standards and platform security solutions
• ARTS
• Works with solution development partners to review application/solution designs and facilitates approval ensuring alignment with the enterprise architecture road map and standards
• Participates in the enterprise architecture committee to represent RIS store platform solutions including and not limited to:
• Back Office solutions
• POS solutions
• Payment authorization solutions
• Wireless solutions
• Fuel management
• Responsible for managing hardware life cycle for the store platform Systems Integration and Software Configuration management

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree
• Retail industry knowledge and experience – C-Store knowledge and familiarity with merchandizing, logistics and product assortment management business processes, a plus
• 8-10 years of total application design, application development and solution architecture for complex applications, preferably in a retail environment.
• 3-5 years of experience with solution architecture for .Net framework based applications
• 2-4 years of experience with solution architecture for mobile applications based Windows CE architecture
• Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems a plus
• Experience with Payment authorization and fuel systems a plus
• Experience with Wifi networks a plus
• Understands the fundamentals of project management and SDLC methodologies
• Strong interpersonal skills, customer service and team orientation
• Effective listening, oral, presentation, and written communication skills.
• Experience in working with outsourced solution partners and business process owners
• High level of motivation and commitment
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Strong project management and facilitation skills
