Solutions Engineer/Analyst
Modis the Leader in IT solutions is seeking a Solutions Engineer/Analyst for our client in Southborough, MA. This is either a contract to hire or a direct hire position. This position represents a key individual in delivering solutions to the market within our clients Digital Organization. The individual will serve as a bridge between business units, solutions delivery, product management, engineering and IT. The Solutions Engineer / Analyst ensure that requirements of the solution are made explicit, advocate those requirements, ensure that the organization can deploy and maintain the solution, including the technology. This includes the process of deploying and updating the applications that are released into the service environment. The Solution Engineer regularly interacts with engineering, the sales force, support, solution providers and customers to understand the solution as it is delivered and helps to define changes to meet market needs, efficiencies and product changes. II. Essential/Key Areas of Responsibility Responsibilities include: • Defining and delivering solution and service delivery requirements based upon interaction with Product Management, Development, Vendors, Customers, Implementation, Level 2 support, Operations and other key functions needs. • Working collaboratively with solution architects, systems administrators, software development professionals, implementations teams and operations specialists to deliver solutions to market. • Vetting Product Management PRDs, technical designs and identifying impacts on the solution delivery; including prototyping and assisting in delivering components of the solution. • Ensuring Engineering, Product Management and vendors understand those requirements in detail. • Specifying, installing, configuring and delivering components of a solution as defined by the Solution Architect or Product Manager. Artifacts may include: • Use cases, beta deployments designs • Technical / operational definitions of components of a Product Requirements Doc. • Documentation of SLA parameters between the business and Digital Operations • Documentation of deployment business continuity and maintenance procedures. • Beta sites III. Educational & Experience Requirements • Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent. • Experience with large scale operational processes and infrastructures IV. Competencies • Technical skills across a spectrum of IT including Development, telecommunications, operations, systems design, deployment and operating systems • Analytical skills as well as solid written and oral communication skills. • An understanding of the requirements of delivering a solution to market and how to maintain it over time. • The ability to understand and explain complex internal and customer integrated systems, address and communicate specialized system needs for various vertical markets like; healthcare, finance, insurance, and manufacturing. • Ability to form working relationships with stakeholders and to work across functional areas to synthesize, model, present requirements, and identify/resolve issues. • Ability to lead cross functional teams in a matrix organization including leading team meetings.
