 Specialty Engineer - TSS Training Manager Job Code: GCSD03081131  Harris Corporation is serving as the systems integrator and provides overall program management for the U.S. Census Bureau's 5-year $600 million dollar Field Data Collection Automation (FDCA) program. This critical program for the 2010 Census includes the design, development, testing and deployment of advanced, automated systems that will deliver near real-time data using an architecture with multiple and overlapping security features, including fingerprint authentication, password authentication, role-based access, automatic data encryption, firewalls, and virus protection.  Job Description: Provides oversight and technical guidance to subcontractors developing training materials for a large Government program. Responsible for frequent interface with the Harris government customer. Determines approach and implementation plan to training, use of user aides, etc. for internal level I and level II Technical Support Services and for a Helpdesk vendor. Responsible for developing cost inputs for ECPs and evaluating subcontractor estimates for ECPs; as well as developing SOW’s for additional training support. Provides guidance to an on-site subcontractor team developing training material and source data to be used by the customer in internal training. Responsible for ensuring teammates and subcontractors providing training support meet requirements and deliver the right product. Responsible for developing a training approach and providing training to a geographically diverse technical support services team.  Qualifications: BS/BA in Instructional Systems Design, MIS, Computer Science, Logistics Engineering; Master’s degree preferred. A minimum of 9 years experience required.  Experience: Must possess experience in training development (including Computer/Web Based Training) on the operation of Information Technology type systems. Experience with technical subcontractor management is required. Must be used to working with engineering development teams for source data for curriculum materials.
