Job Category:Logistics Engineer Principal Leader Primary Location:USA-VA: VIRGINIA-FAIRFAXSchedule:Full-time Job Type:Regular Employee Status:Regular No Job Posting: 04/25/2008Description: Position Overview This Asset Manager/Logistics Engineer will be responsible for keeping track of software licenses and receiving of equipment and softwarefor a large NCTC systems integration contract.Ideal candidate must have a TS/SCIFS Polygraph.Essential Job Functions Plans and oversees logistics program activities for the life cycle of the product to support customers in the general areas of engineering, supply, configuration management, technical requirements identification, installation and maintenance of equipment, safety and documentation development and maintenance. Identifies potential risk, investigates and ensures resolution of appropriate matters of significance. Consults with clients to understand their distribution networks. Determines and advises internal and external personnel of the logistics resources required to support equipment, safety, personnel and maintenance. Identifies supply sources to meet technical requirements. Analyzes and evaluates highly complex design concepts and integration support requirements to determine if concepts satisfy support requirements. Approves and oversees the implementation, monitoring and adjustment of solutions to ensure the integration of support considerations as needed. Consults with business development, field support and customer service to handle complex issues and ensure that customer requirements are met. Researches and analyzes technology and distribution network trends and updates to remain current in the industry. Presents recommendation(s) for change, upgrade or new technology to senior management and implements/oversees as appropriate. Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred Nine or more years of logistics engineering experience Experience working with department/account's business objectives Experience working with engineering, supply, and configuration management processes with respect to logistics Experience working with design-support programs such as: Integrated Logistic Support (ILS), Logistics Support Analysis (LSA), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), etc Candidate must possess an active TS/SCI FULLSCOPE POLYGRAPH clearance.Other Qualifications Strong analytical and problem solving skills for determining and providing logistics support Strong comprehension skills for understanding needs and developing and applying solutions Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills Strong interpersonal skills to interact with customers, business development employees and technical personnel Strong leadership skills to interface with other logistics engineers Strong presentation skills Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously Ability to deal with change Willingness to travel Remote Work Location Authorized:No Relocation Assistance:Not AvailableClearance Level:TS/SCI w/ FS Polygraph Create Success
