Title: Sr. Domino Systems AdministratorLocation: Walnut Creek, CASkills: Lotus Notes client 6.x and higher in a large enterprise environment, Domino system administration on AIX, knowledge of AIX and P-series systems, LAN support, networking, Wintel, and SMTP protocols and administration.Position DescriptionPosition reports to the MCS (Messaging and Collaboration Services) Manager. This position works closely with peers and Enterprise Architecture and is responsible for planning, design, engineering, and initial build of messaging solutions in a growing technology space including Domino, anti-spam/anti-virus, user collaboration tools and secure messaging. The primary focus of this position is on Lotus Notes client engineering and Domino system administration on AIX. This position is also responsible for problem resolution and root cause analysis for the messaging infrastructure.OverviewThe MCS organization has ultimate responsibility for all email, messaging and user collaboration technology for the KP Enterprise. Currently this encompasses Lotus Notes, Blackberry, One Bridge, Sametime, Quickr, Domino.Doc and the SMTP messaging backbone. Primary Responsibilities* Provides technical expertise for Lotus and Messaging products.* Generates instructions for the implementation, QA testing, and maintenance for client software, server farms, gateways, hubs, and multiple applications. * Ensures that the Messaging & Collaboration infrastructure provides needed functionality, appropriate access and restrictions as required.* Create and maintain design, build, implementation and systems management documentation. * Participates in peer reviews for recommended break/fix solutions and/or new and enhanced technologies.* Provides troubleshooting, root cause analysis and problem resolution.* Assists with messaging consulting practice for internal and external projects.* Assists in defining technical architecture for the Messaging & Collaboration infrastructure.* Evaluates hardware and software products to determine effectiveness of use with the strategic design of the Messaging system. * Maintains expert level knowledge on current and emerging collaboration tool technologies and their impact on the Messaging & Collaboration environment.* Provides recommendations for data security, password generation and file access for Messaging & Collaboration environment.* Establishes and maintains solid relationships with vendor product specialists* Establishes and maintains solid relationships with external KPIT Implementation & QA teams.Minimum Requirements:* 3 years engineering experience with Lotus Notes client 6.x and higher in a large enterprise environment (30,000+ users). * 2 years experience with Domino system administration on AIX. Knowledge of AIX and P-series systems is a must for this position.* Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.* Ability to work effectively with business partners and other technical staff on large and small scale projects.* 7 years experience with distributed computing environments with progressively increasing responsibilities that include a minimum of 5 years experience with Domino installation, trouble shooting and administration in a large scale (30,000+ users), environment. * Experience with Lotus Script, Java Script, and is preferred. * Demonstrated strong working knowledge of LAN support (15,000+ users), networking, Wintel, and SMTP protocols and administration.Preferred Qualifications:* Domino and/or NOS certification. * Experience with Web Sphere, DB2 and LDAP* Experience with large directories and X.500 a plusEducation: * Bachelors degree, or equivalent work experience, Computer Science or related field.
