10439100Sr IT Consultant/Program ManagerContract to HireCanton, OHStart: ASAPOverview:Actively participates in and provides subject matter expertise regarding the Client IT capabilities to current and potential customers.Inform and advise customers on information system technologies functionality, costs, benefits, and implementation requirements, and provide services such as priority setting and brokering the technology elements of contracts on behalf of customers.Responsible for coordinating the technology responses to customer RFI, RFP, and RFQ documents. Act as the advocate for customers, working with the IT group to assist end users in determining IT architecture, objectives and solutions.Identify opportunities and design solutions to apply technologies to business processes for new revenue opportunities for customer projects.Responsibilities:Provide primary Client representation for all pre-sales and sales contacts with clients; provide primary subject matter expertise for all client contacts (presentations, meetings, demonstrations and written responses) related to new or extended business opportunities; resolve (or manage to resolution) all technology-related issues for new business opportunities.Direct solution development, write-ups, costing models and analysis. Ensure timeliness and quality of documentation concerning IT solutions, capabilities, and product offerings.Provide strategic consultancy support to assigned customers (sales, account management, groupings, verticals) in defining/designing business processes and researching and identifying enabling technologies based on customer requirements.Act as IT central point of contact for cross-account, cross-system, and interregional activities, including but not limited to tracking of current solutions, ongoing implementations, support functions, resource information and technical capabilities.Broker services within the IT community on behalf of customers; coordinate multi-system solutions to clarify interdependencies so that systems appear seamless to customers.Facilitate development of strategic line of business (LOB) or cross-line of business solutions that combine knowledge of particular business processes and issues, general technological options, and process facilitation techniques.Assess near-term needs, utilizing market evaluation, analysis of technical trends and competitor evaluation; consult with technical subject matter experts and develop alternative technical solutions; advise on options, risks, costs versus benefits and impact on other business processes and system priorities.Coordinate the technology responses to customer RFI, RFP, and RFQ documents.Qualifications:Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:The ideal candidate will have come out of a Big 4 IT consulting shop, have worked in a ERP or supply chain software company, or knows manufacturing, ERP and supply chain systems and solutionsNeeds to have very strong customer service skills, with an ability to work with senior management of our customer.Bachelors degree in business, MIS, supply chain or operations management or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.MBA or graduate degree is a plus. Leadership and project management training are beneficial.7+ years of cross functional business experience including 3rd party logistics and/or supply chain, IT management consulting, IT business systems analysis, business process re-engineering, development and implementation of large scale systems, technical project management, sales/support, and customer relationships.2+ years experience project management and execution.Solid written and verbal communication skills in customer settings and with internal senior management. Strong active listening, facilitation and presentation skills.Broad range of network and desktop knowledge, including experience with MS Office Suite.Solid knowledge of client industry and 3rd party logistics and supply chain functions.Solid knowledge of IT systems development lifecycle, system design techniques, system integration technologies, and enterprise resource planning.Strong project management skills. Ability to analyze project needs and determine resources needed.Well developed teamwork and interpersonal skills and ability work with all management levels. Provide leadership and guidance to teammates.Working knowledge of financial accounting methodologies.Ability to thrive in an unstructured environment that demands a consultative approach and solutions that span multiple environments.Ability to communicate business needs to technical people and to communicate and simplify complex technical information for non-technical people.
