Sr. Informatica Developer (to $130K)

AINS, Inc. has an immediate need for a Sr. Informatica Developer with Secret Security Clearance in Rosslyn, VA. 

Active or Interim US Secret Security Clearance is required for this position.
Responsibilities
- Apply software engineering analysis and design techniques/methodologies in design, development, test, operation, maintenance, and documentation of software components and computing systems software that are applied to Internet services requirements.
- Use appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the software development life cycle.
- Create and maintain detailed design artifacts. Facilitate meetings and generative design sessions.
- Create and maintain software engineering standards, guidelines and processes.
- Create and maintain documentation to support the operation and maintenance of systems.
- Conduct/participate in design and code reviews.

- Develop, compile, and test software.
- Integrate developed software and commercial off-the-shelf software. Provide technical system support.
- Investigate, analyze, and resolve complex software engineering related issues.
- Collaborate with project management and coordinate the assignment of work to other Software Engineers and Developers.
- Assess project needs and provide recommendations and action planning to effectively resolve problems in the area of software engineering and development.
- Collaborate team members and project management to define priorities with respect to project planning based on concepts such as technical risk, architectural significance, and architectural centrality.
- Provide status reporting to release management.

Education/Experience/Clearance
Bachelor´s degree in a technical field such as engineering or computer science and/or 5 - 10 years of relevant experience in software engineering and development and 2-3 years experience in Informatica.

Secret Security Clearance is required.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Extensive knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in Informatica 6+.
- Extensive knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in programming languages: Perl scripting, SQL, C/C++, Visual Basic
- Extensive knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in operating systems such as UNIX, Linux, and Windows. UNIX a must.

- Moderate knowledge and skills in implementation technologies such as Apache web server, Tomcat Application Server.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to give presentations and direct meetings
- Strong analytical skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills
