Sr. Java Developers - MN

Position summary:

We are seeking several candidates for a large Java project.  This is a contracting opportunity, so candidates should be interested in W2 hourly (employees contracting, paid based upon hours billed, generally 40 hours per week) or Independents with S-Corps or LLCs.

High level project specifications:  This application utilizes Java Swing using JGoodies.  IBM web services are utilized on the service side.  Experience with Spring and Hibernate would be required.

Qualifications:College degree in Information Systems or related field, or equivalent work experience 6-8 years experience in applications programming Previous business analysis experience Mastery of programming concepts, procedures and practices with prior experience and good understanding of J2EE application design and development. Strong OO development background;  Strong knowledge of Java solutions and distributed application architectures Strong understanding of relational databases, SQL language and database tool-sets. Detailed knowledge of programming Experience working with the project management cycle Demonstrated ability to develop customized solutions to meet business requirements Advanced problem solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve complex issues with innovative solutions Strong customer service focus Excellent oral and written communication skills

Key Skills (preferred but not all required):

J2EE development, WSED / Eclipse IDE, Websphere, Spring, Hibernate, Oracle 9i/10g; DB2, SQL; PL/SQL, UNIX (AIX, HP) environment; Deployments; MQ, JMS, XML, XSLT, CVS, Swing
