Sr. Network Engineer/Administrator

Description: 

12-15 Years of demonstrated experience in the Information Technology field performing Systems Administration, Network Configuration, and Operating Systems maintenance. 

Complete understanding of Windows 2003, Linux, Solaris (Unix) and TCP/IP as used in a large Federal Agency. Additional skills include WebLogic or Websphere Administration as well as Oracle Administration.  Experience with performing builds of Java applications and Apache configuration is a plus. 

Currently seeking an energetic, professional, and knowledgeable individual to provide support to the Defense Department?s Joint Program Office. The Sr. Network Engineer/Administrator will be responsible for providing expert support for maintaining the Joint Coordinated Real-Time Engagement (JCRE) system; a distributed N-Tiered client server application built using customized Java code and C. Support is provided on a 5 day/8 hour basis. 

Qualified individuals will serve as the subject matter expert and work with the Infrastructure team members to troubleshoot, maintain, and recommend changes for the Application, Network, and Security Configuration of JCRE. He/She will be responsible for serving as a secondary interface for all Systems Administration related tasks within the accredited production environment. 

Candidate must interact effectively with the other team members and the management team. Interact with the client?s senior management team on administration related matters and provide alternatives for problem resolution.

Experience General: 12 to 15 years in Production Systems Administration, maintenance, or configuration. Specific: 10 to 12 years of experience in hands-on Operating systems maintenance integration and configuration.
